This weekend is a perfect opportunity to cross the Bay and experience what the other side has to offer. The Cross Bay Ferry will be offering free rides on Sunday, 12/18 from 7am-5:30pm. If you haven’t experienced this new transportation this is your chance! You can check out our very own James Silver’s review of the Ferry below. If you’re traveling from St. Pete to Tampa, you can stop by The Florida Aquarium, plenty of shopping and restaurants in Channelside or hop on the trolley and make your way to Ybor for an afternoon movie or Improv show. Coming to St. Pete from Tampa? The Dali Museum, St. Petersburg Museum of History, and four blocks of shopping and dining on Beach Drive are all within walking distance.

On Saturday, you can enjoy free snow-ga (that’s yoga in the snow) at Sundial (153 2nd Avenue North, St.Petersburg, Florida) from 9-10am. IF you haven’t gone to see the decorations and the flurries, this is the perfect time do experience it while getting a jump start on your New Years fitness goals. Go grab some lunch and come back to the Sundial at 3pm to catch the Dixie Hollins High School Choir perform an hour long upbeat set of holiday songs!

Tampa also has an opportunity to get your fitness on with the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k. On Sunday December 18th, the race is family friendly with games to occupy your little ones and all things chocolate (hot chocolate too, obviously) after you cross the finish line. The 5k will start around 7:30am, and the 15k around 8:25am in the Channelside Bay Plaza, Tampa, FL. Check out their website for more details on this fun event.
