It may sound cheesy, but this is the time of year so many of us take time to improve ourselves. Why not? Whether we are trying to get fit, do more for the environment or simply just try new things, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to do all of it. So get up and get out there! Here are some ideas to get you started.
This Saturday you can help support our very own Tampa Bay Rowdies but checking the Florida Cup at Al Lang Stadium. Our boys in green and yellow will take on Atletico from Brazil at 2pm. New to soccer? Get in the spirit by visiting The Florida Cup website and St Pete’s adored Ralph’s Mob. Be warned: The fandom is contagious.
Want to do more for the environment? Spend more time in nature? Get up early (and drink some coffee) and head out to Boyd Hill Nature Preserve at 8:30am Saturday 1/14. There are invasive plants that need removing and the Tampa Bay Estuary Patrol could use all the hands they can get. This is also gunna be a workout, so check that off your list, too! More info here.
Get your New Year’s resolution started right with Yoga + Dali at the Salvador Dali museum. Yoga is held here every Sunday at 10:30 am. This class is made for beginners and experienced yogis alike, and incorporates all different styles. If you’re a member it’s $10, non members pay $15.
