There are a ton of events in St Petersburg, Florida this weekend, whether you’re marching around town pre-gaming with Ralph’s Mob, celebrating Rays Opening Day, or getting your zen on surrounded by art, St Petersburg has a bit of something for everyone this weekend.
Events in St Petersburg
Yoga + Art
Start your weekend off on a healthy note by joining Danielle Collinsworth, The Caffeinated Yogi, at The Gallery located at 1 Progress Plaza, Ste 111 for some indoor, inspired yoga. This all-level donation based class takes place every first Saturday with soothing live music. Don’t have a mat? First time yogi? No worries – there are extra mats available and the flow is suited for beginners to advanced yogis. Class starts at 10:30 am inside the gallery to the right. (If you aren’t a morning person, check out Danielle’s Sunday evening class here!)
Rowdies are Back!
When you’re done being bendy (or not so bendy) at yoga, head across the street for the Rowdies’ second home game of the year against Toronto FC. Coming off their season opening win last weekend, Ralph’s Mob and all the Tampa Bay Rowdies fans are ready for another sell-out game this Saturday at 7:30pm. If you miss out on buying tickets, stop into The Rowdies Den, The Avenue, or Courrigan’s where you not only can watch the game but are within an earshot of the stadium. We recommend you get your tickets here, though.
…and so are The Rays!
It’s here! Baseball season is back and St Pete is buzzing with anticipation for this Sunday’s home opener against the New York Yankees! Tickets are available here for the 1:10pm game. Fun fact: Did you know you can bring in sealed bottled water and food into Tropicana Field? From the website: “Patrons are allowed to bring food into Tropicana Field. All food items must be wrapped, bagged, or contained within a soft-sided container that shall not exceed 16″x16″x 8”. Patrons are allowed to bring in single-serving juice boxes and sealed plastic water bottles (no larger than one liter). Items not allowed are cans, thermoses, ice chests, bottles, glass containers or any other non-collapsible container or object deemed hazardous.” So for you baseball fans, there are no excuses! Buy your tickets here.
