You’ve no doubt heard of brewery tours if you’ve spent any time in St Pete, Florida. You may have gone on the mural tour as well. But do you know about the new kid on the block? St Petersburg Craft Coffee Tour is getting tons of attention in the media and for good reason.
Founder Brendan Smith has a history with coffee. He has held multiple positions in the coffee industry from barista training to coffee shop manager. “In 2015 I was having coffee with my friend, Ariel Penu, when she asked me about all the craft coffee shops in St. Petersburg. There were so many new shops! She suggested the idea and I quickly organized the first #StPeteCoffeeTour for my friends. We did it again 6 months later and 6 months after that I lead my first public tour (December ’16.)”
And so the tour was born. St Pete Craft Coffee Tour offers Saturday morning and special afternoon tours throughout the St Pete area, making stops at locally owned and operated establishments like Craft Kafe, The Bikery, Southside Coffee and more. You’ll learn about roasting, the craft of making coffee and coffee drinks, and sample everything from espresso to tea.
